Brand builder bootcamp 3.012/25/2022 In collaboration with their partners, Brilliant Labs provides youth with hands-on experiences to learn and develop their digital and coding skills through innovative problem solving. The Brilliant Labs " Creative Coding and Applied Digital Skills" project is a continuation of their previously funded CanCode programming which is offered to youth, educators, librarian and community centre leaders. Youth ages 8–12 with a focus on beginnersīoys and Girls Club locations across Canada The main objective of their project is to increase children's exposure to and development of digital skills, coding concepts and computational thinking through community-based programming at various Club locations. In their collaboration with Canada Learning Code and Corus Entertainment, they will deliver coding and digital skills programming to members of Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada. University and college campuses across and Girls Club of Canada (BGCC):īoys and Girls Clubs of Canada's " Kid Tech Nation Phase 2" project will build upon its previously funded CanCode programming. For Whom?īlack boys 8 to 17 years old with little to no experience BBC will provide specific training on Arduino playground, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and HTML, application development, hackathons and introduction to Scratch and Python. This project will deliver coding and programming skills to boys with little or no experience through in person workshops by local chapters and hosted on university and college campuses across Canada. Students from Kindergarten to grade 12 and their teachersīlack Boys Code's initiative will focus on introducing digital literacy and programming skills to black boys ages 8 to 17 years old. Students will participate in a robust suite of coding and computational thinking programs through field trips and learning showcases at TELUS World of Science and The Exploration Place, or in-class demonstrations and community kit programs in rural, remote and northern BC communities. Their project will help meet the needs of teachers in BC by delivering computational thinking workshops and demonstration lessons, with follow-up materials and resources, in their communities. ![]() Science World BC's " Tech-up 2.0" project will build upon its previously funded CanCode programming and will focus on both students and teachers. Youth ages 6–16 and their teachers from beginner to advancedĪll Provinces and Territories, including Northern Science World Society (Science World BC): In partnership with their 38 network members, the Actua network will deliver coding and digital skills content through various programs in and outside of schools and at various community locations with summer programs, school workshops, clubs and training events. ![]() Actua's " Preparing Canadian Youth for the Future of Work in a Digital Economy" project will build upon its previously funded CanCode programming and will focus on both students and teachers.
